Autumn Essie Picks

I'm going through a phase with my nails where I actually want to see some colour on them. Crazy, right? Essie seems to be my go-to brand for all things nail related at the moment, so I thought that I'd share with you some autumn-appropriate shades I've been sporting recently.

Let's start with the only true nude in the lineup. I'm pretty sure that I've mentioned

Essie Sand Tropez

in a blog post before however I just can't seem to get enough of it. For me, this sandy beige shade is the epitome of a perfect nude that can be worn all year round.

Next up is

Essie Chinchilly

, a soft, muted grey with a hint of lavender. It's one of those easy to wear shades that seems to go with everything (especially those rainy autumn days).

Essie Angora Cardi

has to be my favourite shade out of the bunch. It's a feminine, dusty plum shade with a bit of chocolate thrown into the mix. Similarly to most Essie polishes, this shade is opaque in two coats and it dries quickly, too.

What would an autumn polish lineup be without at least one deep and dark shade?

Essie Shearling Darling

is a dark and moody oxblood colour that looks almost black in some lights. This one goes perfectly with both cozy, oversized knits for daytime and LBDs for the evenings.

Finally, there's

Power Clutch

, a dark grey creme with green undertones. If I'm in a hurry, this is the one I usually reach for as it goes opaque in one coat and dries within a few minutes. Power Clutch is a subtle yet noticeable shade (if that makes any sense) that gets the most compliments.
