A Girl Walks Into H&M...

... and comes out with a bag full of makeup. This statement might have induced a chuckle or two a year ago, however now the brand has come out with a new, reformulated makeup line that is bound to peak every beauty lover's curiosity. With a price tag, that falls into the affordable category, their beauty range is seriously impressive, as it consists of around 700 pieces, including everything from beauty tools to shower essentials. Now, I have to be completely honest with you - I was extremely skeptical about the quality. As I'm not one to hoard makeup, I was putting off a purchase until, one day, curiosity got the best of me and I ended up picking up two things, which have left me pleasantly surprised.

Did anyone else go through a phase of chipped black nail polish, angsty teenage music and Myspace? Well, I thought that it's time for the black lacquer to grace my nails once again, but this time in a more polished, glossier form. Enter H&M's 'Neo Noir' - a true black creme free of any undertones and shimmer. The highly pigmented formula is a joy to work with, but the true star of the show is the wide brush, which makes application a breeze. Two quick and effortless coats later, I'm ready to face the day with beautifully lacquered nails. The only disappointing aspect was the durability, as the polish didn't survive on my nails for more than 48 hours.

A true nude shade straight from the 90's, 'Heyday' sits comfortably between a modern beige and a vintage brown. Incredibly creamy and pigmented, without looking or feeling heavy, the slight satin sheen is a welcome addition that makes the lips appear slightly fuller. Think 'Velvet Teddy', just less matte and way more comfortable to wear on a daily basis. Due to its moisturizing nature, this lipstick doesn't have the most long-lasting formula around, which means that a touch up will be needed after every coffee break.

Have you tried anything from H&M's new beauty range?
