October Favorites

As cliche as it may sound, where has October gone? It feels like only a few minutes ago I was putting together my April favorites post, and now it's nearly November! Time is going by way too fast. Anyway, I digress. Beauty-wise, this month has been pretty eventful, as I've discovered some real gems (and made a hefty dent in my budget), so grab a cuppa, as this favorites post is going to be a long 'un.

If you're no stranger to this blog, then by this point you're probably sick and tired of hearing about the

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey

mask. I can't help it - this stuff is absolutely amazing! The nourishing

clarifying formula is perfect for this time of the year when my skin gets a bit drier, as it manages to clear things up without leaving the skin tight and uncomfortable. Plus it has an incredible scent. What more could I wish for?

The second favorite is a new addition to my skincare lineup.

Banila Co. Clean It Zero Radiance Cleansing Balm

is a gentle and soothing cleanser that manages to melt away even the most stubborn traces of makeup. It is somewhat similar to Lush Ultrabland cleanser, however this one feels a tad more luxurious due to its rich and moisturising formula. A full review is coming soon!

Now let's get on to the makeup bits. First up, we have the

Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

, which has been a real game-changer in my daily makeup routine. The creamy and lightweight texture glides on with ease and cements any eyeshadow look for the whole day, plus it makes blending eyeshadows so much easier. Maybe it's not the most affordable primer around, but it's well worth the price, as you only need to use the teeniest amount.

Sticking to the Nars theme,

Nars Sin

has been gracing my cheeks almost every day. It's unlike anything I have in my collection - a cool-toned plummy blush with a subtle dose of shimmer. It looks particularly gorgeous paired with an autumnal vampy lip or the likes of MAC Plumful. Again, the quality is outstanding, as the blush is pigmented, smooth and extremely long-lasting. If you're looking for a wearable blush, that's a bit different from the standard pinks and peaches, this is your guy.

If last month was all about full and voluminous lashes, then October saw me rekindling my love for length and definition.

L'oreal Telescopic Clean Definition

is an old favorite of mine that does the job without adding too much drama to the whole look.

Lastly, there is

Essie's Shearling Darling

, which hasn't left my nails for the better part of the month (

can you tell that I'm not particularly adventurous?

). This is a beautiful, moody oxblood shade that matches the equally moody weather we've been having lately.

And I have one big non-beauty favorite - I'll be going to the UK for Christmas, which is very, very exciting! If you have any place/product/food/shopping/magazine/anything recommendations, be sure to pop them down below!
